Risk Disclosure
Operator#
PowaHub is operated by CertainData Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17354647 (official name: CERTAIN DATA LTD), whose registered office is at Venture House, 2 Arlington Square, Downshire Way, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 1WA. In this disclosure, "PowaHub", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the PowaHub platform operated by CertainData Ltd.
Data accuracy#
PowaHub publishes data sources with quality grades, freshness markers and licence attribution where available. Despite monitoring and quality controls, no data source is guaranteed to be complete, accurate, current or error-free. Underlying providers may misclassify, omit or delay information. Provenance information may assist users in reviewing and challenging specific data points.
Data and services made available through PowaHub are provided for informational and operational use and do not constitute a regulatory, legal, compliance or financial decision on your behalf. You remain responsible for decisions made using data obtained through the service.
Sanctions and compliance#
PowaHub's country, sanctions or compliance-related data is intended as decision-support information and is not a substitute for your own sanctions screening, anti-money-laundering controls, KYC, legal review or other regulatory obligations. You remain responsible for determining and complying with the requirements that apply to your business and transactions.
PowaHub does not perform sanctions or AML screening of sellers, their principals or their wallets. Coinbase may apply its own wallet and transfer screening controls in connection with Coinbase services. If a seller wallet or transfer is blocked, restricted or otherwise subject to a compliance action by Coinbase or an off-ramp provider, the seller is responsible for resolving that issue directly with the relevant provider.
Settlement and digital-asset risk#
Paid calls may settle in USDC on the Base blockchain. Digital-asset settlement involves risks including network outages, congestion, transaction failure, smart-contract or protocol vulnerabilities, blockchain reorganisations, counterparty failure and changes in the value, availability or regulatory treatment of USDC or related infrastructure.
USDC is issued by Circle and is subject to risks associated with the issuer, its reserves, applicable regulation and the continued operation of supported blockchain networks.
Seller payout wallets are provisioned as Coinbase Developer Platform EOAs under the seller's control. PowaHub does not hold the seller's wallet private key. Recovery-key export is available through Coinbase's secure key-export flow. Buyer-side Delegated Signing is a separate PowaHub mechanism and may be used to facilitate authorised buyer transactions in accordance with the buyer's account permissions and service controls.
Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible once confirmed. Transactions sent to an incorrect address, or executed based on incorrect instructions, may not be recoverable.
Third-party provider risk#
Data and services available through PowaHub may be supplied by independent third-party providers and by sources made available under the CertainData supply-side brand. PowaHub does not guarantee a provider's data quality, availability, uptime, licensing position, security or continued participation in the service. Users should consider the quality grade, provenance, licence information and other information presented for a source before relying on it.
Operational risk#
PowaHub aims to maintain a reliable service, but no service is immune to outages, latency, software defects, infrastructure failures, cyber incidents or third-party service disruption. Users should implement appropriate retries, time-outs, monitoring and fallback arrangements for important workloads and should not rely on a single source where failure could cause significant harm.
Pricing and transaction costs#
Sellers set the price they wish to receive for listed services or data. PowaHub adds the applicable platform fee on top of the seller's listed price, and the buyer pays the total amount shown before the transaction. Sellers receive 100% of their listed price. Applicable platform fees, transaction fees, subscription charges and other commercial terms are published through PowaHub and, where applicable, the Fee Schedule (Schedule B).
Blockchain network conditions and third-party infrastructure may also affect transaction execution or associated costs.
Security and account risk#
Users are responsible for protecting account credentials, authentication devices, API credentials and exported recovery keys. Loss, disclosure or compromise of these credentials may result in unauthorised account access or transactions. Users should apply appropriate spending controls, access restrictions and monitoring suitable for their use of PowaHub.
Regulatory status#
PowaHub provides technology and data-access services that may involve settlement using USDC. UK and international regulation of cryptoasset-related activities continues to evolve. We assess the regulatory requirements applicable to PowaHub and will obtain any registration, authorisation or permission required before conducting an activity for which such registration, authorisation or permission is mandatory.
Nothing provided through PowaHub constitutes investment, legal, regulatory or financial advice.
Changes to risk#
Technology, digital-asset markets, third-party providers and applicable regulation may change over time. This disclosure may therefore be updated as PowaHub and the risks associated with it evolve.
