Provider Due-Diligence Checklist (Schedule A) — PowaHub
In brief — read before you sign. This is a plain-language guide to the key points. The full text below is what governs.
- This checklist applies only to Premium applications. Standard is self-serve with no due-diligence gate, though the Seller Agreement warranties still apply.
- PowaHub's due diligence covers legitimacy, authority, and data quality — that you are genuine, that you have the right to sell the data, and that the source works and matches what you claim.
- PowaHub does not run sanctions or AML screening of you, your principals, or your wallet. Financial-crime and wallet compliance sit with the regulated payment partners.
- If your wallet or funds are sanctioned, blocked, frozen, or restricted, you resolve it directly with Coinbase and/or your chosen off-ramp provider. CertainData Ltd trading as PowaHub is not responsible in any way, and has no obligation, to recover, unblock, or replace your funds.
- PowaHub does not take custody of your payout wallet — you control it.
Applied by#
CertainData Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17354647 (official name: CERTAIN DATA LTD), whose registered office is at Venture House, 2 Arlington Square, Downshire Way, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 1WA — operating the PowaHub platform.
Scope#
Applied to Premium tier applications (verified sellers) on PowaHub. Standard tier is self-serve with no due-diligence gate; the seller warranty in the Seller Agreement still applies.
Data captured via the application form at powahub.ai/for-data-providers: name, work email, company, website, description, price/call USDC, expected monthly volume, target launch date.
Section outline#
- Entity, legitimacy, and authority verification — company registration and jurisdiction; that the applicant is genuine and is who they claim to be; and that they have the authority and right to provide and sell the data or service (for example, that someone offering an "IBM" data endpoint genuinely represents and is authorised by that source). This is a proportionate legitimacy check, not a financial-crime screening operation.
- Data provenance + rights — source; rights to redistribute (owned / licensed / public + attribution); evidence of sublicensing right where licensed.
- Data quality + freshness — validate at onboarding with a real endpoint call; check the returned data is sensible and matches what the seller claims; confirm the declared freshness band. Ongoing data quality is monitored through buyer feedback.
- Technical due diligence — endpoint availability and a working health/test endpoint for uptime probing; latency profile; rate limits; failure modes; x402 v2 spec + PowaHub proxy convention compliance.
- Compliance posture — UK/EU/US regulatory status; UK-GDPR position for personal data.
- Financial-crime compliance — handled by the payment partners, not PowaHub. PowaHub does not screen the seller, principals, or wallet for sanctions or AML. The seller is responsible for their compliance obligations with Coinbase and their chosen off-ramp provider. A sanctioned or restricted wallet is the seller's to resolve with that provider, and CertainData Ltd trading as PowaHub is not responsible in any way, and has no obligation, to recover the seller's funds (see the note above and Seller Agreement section 7).
- Financial + payout details — confirmation that the payout wallet is under the seller's control. PowaHub does not take custody (see Seller Agreement section 7).
- Ongoing monitoring — quality signals (via buyer complaints), uptime signals (via automated uptime monitoring), and licence-status changes. No PowaHub sanctions re-screening.
- Approval + escalation — approval authority; escalation triggers for demotion (Premium → Standard) or suspension.
